Police Facial Recognition Surveillance – Ethics Panel To Consider Our Evidence

The London Police Ethics Panel has indicated that they will consider our report on the Mets deployment of live facial recognition surveillance in Croydon as part of their five year review of Metropolitan Police use of live facial recognition in London. Our report documents systemic racism in how the technology is used by the Met and also bias in the technology against people of colour.

Unjustly Imprisoned 137 Days – Second Protest Outside HMP Bronzefield – Filton18

On 21st December, the week before Christmas, the Resistance Kitchen marked 137 days that the #Filton10 have been unjustly caged without trial, simply for opposing genocide, by trying to stop the flow of arms from Israel’s arms facilities in the UK to fuel genocide in Gaza. The week began with a second protest outside HMP Bronzefield where most of the #Filton18 women are imprisoned.

Reclaim Croydon Winter Shelter – An Act of Love

Last week the Resistance kitchen had the honour of visiting an amazing project – Reclaim Croydon’s Winter Shelter. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, Reclaim Croydon’s Winter Shelter is an independent housing group that provides shelter to the street homeless over the winter. They do incredible work supporting the most vulnerable in our community.

Solidarity With The #Filton10 – 130 Days Of Unjust Imprisonment

On Saturday 15th December activists from Merton Friends of Palestine, and Croydon4Palestine marched from East Croydon to Brixton. On the way they stopped at the Resistance Kitchen to show their solidarity with the #Filton10, who have been unjustly imprisoned without trial for 130 days, for trying to stop

Eight More Unjustly Imprisoned – #Filton10 Day 109

On Saturday 23rd of November, as the Resistance Kitchen marked 109 days that the #Filton10 have been unjustly imprisoned for trying to stop genocide in Gaza, eight more activists were imprisoned for allegedly taking part in the same action of smashing an Israeli armaments research and production facility near Bristol.
