Due to Storm Darragh hitting the UK with 50mph gale force winds predicted for the vicinity of our kitchen, we couldn’t make use of the gazebo this week. Instead we used one side of our van to shield us from the wind, placing our food tables on the other side. Sadly for the first time since Genocide began, we couldn’t fly our 9ft Palestinian flag. But we didn’t forget those imprisoned for trying to stop genocide in Gaza.
On 7th December the Resistance Kitchen marked 127 days that the #Filton10 have been unjustly imprisoned for dismantling Israeli armaments destined for use in the commission of Genocide in Gaza. The arms are produced in Bristol by Israel’s main arms manufacturer Elbit Systems.
Quadcopters - Instrument Of Terror
Amongst the armaments smashed include quadcopter drones which are being used extensively in Gaza. The video released by Palestine Action of the decommissioning shows an Elbit Thor quadcopter being smashed. These killer copters can be armed with missiles and gun turrets.
They lure people out of their houses by playing sounds of women and children in distress, and then they shoot them. This technology is gradually replacing ground troops.
Middle East Eye reported on 17th April 2024:
On Sunday and Monday night, residents of the northern parts of Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp woke up to the sounds of babies crying and women calling out for help.
When they went outside to locate the source of the cries and provide aid, Israeli quadcopters reportedly opened fire directly at them.
Samira Abu al-Leil, a resident of the refugee camp, told Middle East Eye that she heard Israeli quadcopters opening fire during and shortly after playing the recorded sounds, which lasted for several minutes and recurred multiple times on Monday night.
“I heard a woman crying and screaming for help, saying, ‘Help me, my son was martyred’. The sounds were coming from the street and they were bizarre,” the 49-year-old said.
“Some men rushed out to the rescue, only to be shot by the quadcopters that kept roaming all night long.”
According to eyewitnesses, at least seven to 10 people were injured by the quadcopter fire overnight.
Quadcopters have also been used to slaughter women and children sheltering in UN tents, and those queuing for food aid:
A significant event involving the use of quadcopters occurred on 11 January when a large crowd waiting for food on al-Rasheed Street, near the Gaza City coastline, came under fire from the Israeli military. Numerous witnesses recounted quadcopters firing upon hundreds of individuals awaiting the arrival of aid trucks.
