#Filton10 detainee Fatema Zainab is still being denied her mail despite us hand delivering nearly 60 letters and postcards to the prison, some over 5 weeks ago!
Two weeks ago we wrote to Johnathan French, the Director of HMP Bronzefiled, where Fatema Zainab and the other #Filton10 women are being detained, about the unfair treatment and restrictions being placed on Fatema Zainab. One of the restrictions is the denial of mail – she is not receiving any mail despite us hand delivering it directly to the prison.
Last week one of Fatema Zainab’s pupils, 6 years old Amirali wrote to “Mr French” asking him let his “best teacher” see his painting, which we hand delivered, along with 28 other items of mail, over a month ago on 23 September.
He has not replied to either our letter, or that of 6 years old Amirali’s, and she is still being denied her mail.
In the meantime her community has written another 30 postcards and letters to Fatema Zainab, which we again hand delivered on Monday.
Call To Action
We request that you please write or phone the prison and politely request that they allow Fatema Zainab her rights, which includes the right to communicate with her family and friends via mail. Thank you.
